It's funny how difficult it

It's funny how difficult it is sometimes to come up with a topic. Sometimes, they just pop up and you can't help but write something. More often than not, it's just the process of sitting down and pounding something out that leads to a topic. Today, expect the latter rather than the former.
It's been busy lately…really busy. I was back in New York last week for three days at the LIRR. The project is moving along nicely, and I finally was able to spend a bit of time with the users to bring them up to date on our progress. I came back with the snapshot of the latest code and database, and hope to (finally) get Oracle up and running so that I can really experiment with the system. There's still a lot to do, but the task list is finally starting to congeal into something useful, and we've got a clearer destination in mind.
On top of that, I've got a pile of work to do for my friend Scott (much of it related to our snapshot spider that crawls rental car sites for current rate info…the rental car companies change their sites with maddening regularity; at the moment I've got re-writes of the Enterprise and Hertz spiders on my plate), a huge project for Beth (big enhancements to the CSTORES system), and a handful of things that I should be working on for Atl-Connect. Heaped on top is a renovation project at the house (one day, I swear I'll get that closet done!) Frazzled. I'm frazzled, I tell you.
I'm a bit dejected that my work on the new Atl-Connect website had to be placed on the back burner. I've gotten quite deep into Movable Type (which I'm going to be using as the CMS on the new site), and I really like it. In fact, I may migrate all of this stuff into MT under e28.biz…if I ever get some time to do it. For now Blogger serves me just fine for my musings. No need to rock the boat.
