Got Movable Type up and
Got Movable Type up and running on the church website last night. Kristen Mattocks is in Bosnia on a mission, and this will allow her to send updates whenever she wants (without waiting for me to post them). It'll also give visitors the ability to post comments, so Kristen can get some feedback while she's over there. [Aside: I wonder if putting the words “Movable Type” into a Blog that's managed by Blogger will cause Blogger to choke?! :D]
Spent some time last night working on Donna's new closet, too. Finally re-routed the plumbing so that it would still be accessible after the hard walls go in, and wired up the incandescent light that'll burn 24/7 to help with humidity. I also got more of the insulation up, but was stymied when my staple gun bit the dust. It's been teetering on the edge of oblivion for a while, and finally fell off. This one was one of the original Black & Decker PowerShot staple guns. Very cool idea, but (like most B&D stuff in my experience) badly put together. I see now that B&D spun off a company called PowerShot Tools, which now sells the staple gun. Maybe they enhanced it and made it work better. Hmm. I'll have to look again and see if they've fixed the design problems that plagued mine (primarily problems with how the trigger was assembled; unless the gun was being used in the “upright and locked” position, it tended to bind and jam a lot.
