The Coolest Grandma in Town
Well, Emily and Christopher can now legitimately claim to have the coolest grandma in town. Last week, she went out and bought herself a new Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Candy-apple red with tan leather interior and a camel colored top. The kids seem to have a real case of perma-grin…but then, so do Grandma and Grandpa!
Had a pretty good trip to NYC last week. Three interviews with candidates for a position at one of our clients out on Long Island. Got a lot done at the LIRR. Downside was a pitiful room (at a hotel where I stay about every two weeks, no less!). So, I'm on the prowl for a new hotel. The requirements are simple: Must be within a 45 minute train ride of the LIRR Jamaica station, preferably within a couple of blocks of a LIRR station or subway station of some kind (Penn Station would be good), less than $150/night, clean, decent neighborhood so I can wander around in the evenings. Any suggestions?
(And no snide comments about my lack of traffic lately…I've had a LOT going on and just haven't taken the time to blog. Sorry.)
