The test server is up

The test server is up if you want to have a look. It's at http://www.eal.us. I did some monkeying around, and if you want, you can view it over a secure SSL connection, too, at https://www.eal.us. Just keep in mind that this is a “self-signed” SSL certificate, so your browser will probably warn you about it. I've been playing around with Cascading Style Sheets a bit, and I'm starting to get my brain wrapped around them. Quite elegant, actually, but it's a little different approach to design than I've used in the past. Both this blog (as of today) and my test server are using CSS heavily for layout and appearance.
Since I've been working intensely with Apache (the web server software) lately on our new DSL connection, I've been looking extra close at the logs. It astonishes me how many script kiddies have already hit the server looking for holes. Within 12 hours of bringing up the DSL connection, random folks started probing for HTTP servers and sending queries that would be bad for an unpatched IIS server. Good thing this is a brand-new Apache server with the latest security fixes.
