No CRX this time…
Well, I decided not to buy the CRX. Mechanically it was decent. It had been wrecked front right at some point, but seemed to be well repaired. Sunroof worked OK. Struts were shot on the back hatch, but they had a “lock bar” on them to hold it up so it was no big deal. All in all, it was decent, but the wrong color, and I had my suspicions about it.
The seller advertised it as having 143,000 miles on it. When I ran an AutoCheck, it showed that the vehicle had 152,000 miles on it a year ago. When I asked the seller about it, he admitted that the instrument cluster had been replaced in the last year, but he hedged on how many miles were on the car when it was changed and how many miles were on the replacement cluster.
Kind of makes you wonder what else he “forgot” to tell me.
Anyway, it was the wrong color (silver—I want Red or White).
