Teenager's shoe scanner increases security (2003-7-27)

Kudos to Josh Pfluger, who designed a “shoe scanner” that travellers can use to pre-screen themselves and determine if they ought to take off their shoes and send them through the X-Ray machine at the airport.  [via Lockergnome's Bits and Bytes]
