Just twiddling its thumbs
I suppose my MINI is sitting on the dock in Southampton just twiddling its thumbs. It arrived there on Wednesday, but doesn't actually sail until this coming Friday Aug 29. So for 10 days or so, it's nothing more than a waiting game.
Don't they know I could be driving it sooner if they were to get it on an earlier ship?!
But, I did get my MINI yesterday in a manner of speaking; I had ordered a 1:18 scale model made by AutoArt and it arrived in the mail. It just happened that AutoArt offers a MINI Cooper S that is nearly identical to the one I'm getting (electric blue with a white roof and silver S-Lite wheels). This is one outstanding model! The detail is remarkable…heck, it's even got carpet in it! So I guess I get to admire the mini MINI while I wait for the real deal.
