Blogware is so cool. I'm telling you, this thing is awesome.
Today I discovered — just mucking around — that you can essentially upload an entire website completely separate from the blog!
If you've got static .htm pages, you can upload them to your Blogware site using FTP. Upload an index.htm page to the root directory, and guess what happens? That's right, it's selected as the default page (you can link to /blog to display your blog contents). If there's no index.htm, then your blog is displayed by default.
What makes this so cool is that it's even easier than I thought to merge “conventional” websites with bloggish ones. An example is the website for the consulting firm where I work.
Our main website is pretty much a conventional, static website. But, we also have a news site where we post daily links to articles we've found in the news that our clients might find interesting. That portion of the site is handled with a Blogware blog, and it works great. The rest of the site (the main entry point, if you will) currently resides on another server and simply links to the news site.
