I think it's more accurate to characterize it as a faulty assumption on the part of NewzCrawler than as an error on the part of Blogware.
Technically speaking (and you'll have to read about the “solution”
here for this to make sense), closing the LINK tag with a
slash-greater-than is bad form, and is NOT valid HTML 4.01 Transitional
markup. The default markup in Blogware is, strictly speaking,
accurate and correct. But apparently NewzCrawler doesn't
recognize this as the standard form for the RSS LINK, and therefore
doesn't detect it.
So, here's the dilemma which each Blogware author (who gives a darn)
must resolve for herself: Do you want to break the standards in
order to be accessible to NewzCrawler users, or would you prefer to
spurn the NewzCrawler folks in favor of “doing it properly”?
