Google Mail…Monday Woes
Aw geez. Google Mail was slow the other day (but recovered nicely within a few hours). Now it's just dead in the water for me. Curiously, the main GMail page comes up, but it dies when it tries to load the Login Form (which is apparently served from www.google.com and is displayed in an IFRAME). A little digging reveals that most likely it's a Level3 problem rather than a Google problem; a tracert dies at so-3-3-0.bbr2.Atlanta1.Level3.net [220.127.116.11] with a “Destination net unreachable” error.
Whatever the problem, it's a pain in the neck, since all of my email goes through GMail now. I may have to just work from home today (assuming, of course, that Earthlink's upstream connection isn't routing through the same bolloxed Level3 router).
So, if you emailed me and were expecting a response, just be patient.
UPDATE 12:21pm: It's reachable again! No, wait, now it's unreachable again. Arrgh!
