Arrgh! Scumbags!
A couple of months ago, hacker scumbags broke in to one of our servers in order to post Warez (that is, illegal software) for download. They used an unbelievable amount of bandwidth before we discovered the intrusion, shut them down, and cleaned the servers.
Today, the scumbags are at it again. This time they’re signing up for hosting accounts and posting phishing sites trying to steal ebay passwords. We got one SpamCop notification and immediately tracked down the account and removed it. Then the ebay notification followed…fortunately the account had already been deleted.
We’ve had to turn on “moderation” on all accounts; nothing gets created without human review.
You know, if these jerks put half the effort into an honest business that they do into scamming people, they would probably be unbelievably successful.
