It can be reconciled by the fact that the cancer society uses 1-14. Many of the children that die from congenital heart disease are under 1 year of age. I can get more specific statistics for you later. The statistics on congenital heart disease start at birth.

Hi Debbie! Thanks.

The statement "more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease" is drawn from the St. Baldrick's website (http://www.stbaldricks.com), and is consistent with data from the American Cancer Society, which says "cancer is the chief cause of death by disease in children between ages 1 and 14" (See http://bit.ly/bsOL5k, page 10).

I can't reconcile the two statements...and regardless, any time a child dies it's tragic and heartbreaking. Hopefully the money raised through this will help prevent some of those deaths.

I really respect you for this fun raising effort. To clarify facts, according to the AHA "Nearly twice as many children die from congenital heart disease in the US each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined."

I really hate the thought of having to periodically beat my brand new car. *sigh* Do they not have a fix for it at the shop that is covered under warranty?

Hi Mike, I never even considered that! If you're still connected even without the tray app running, then maybe that does do the trick. I was under the impression that the tray app was required and that there was no way to be connected without it...hopefully, your (very simple) solution did the trick for you. (I don't have that laptop anymore, so I can't test it). - Eric

I right-clicked on the netgear icon in the system tray, and selected 'exit'.
Voila: no more WG511v2.exe in the process list in task manager.
Does this solve the problem??

Hi Scott,

Gee...you didn't buy yours at Sandy Springs Ford, did you??

I had a buddy who owned a sign shop, so the stripes were made for free and I did the install myself. Unfortunately, he's sold the business since then and is no longer a resource for that kind of stuff!

If you're in the Atlanta area, check out Atlanta Minis (atlantaminis.com). There's a member of the club who does wonderful work with custom striping, and I'm sure could set you up with some boot stripes...sorry, but I don't know his name. Shouldn't be too hard to find it by asking around on the forums, though.

Enjoy your MINI! I've since sold mine, but it was the best car I ever owned...most fun, too!
